Pauper's Paradise | Nabuurs&VanDoorn
Nabuurs&VanDoorn are an artist duo and work in a variety of media - from photography and video art to public intervention. The artists over-identify with stories they encounter during their practice. By doing so, they question the tenets of differentiation between memory and history, or between fact and fiction. Their work succeeds in capturing and rendering the fragmentary past and a sensitivity to misuse of this past - according to the artists, "history needs to be appropriated".
