A site-specific installation created for the Picus Villa in Eindhoven, an abandoned building and the last remaining remnant of the Picus factory. The installation is comprised of an architectural matchstick model, found objects, and a series of panels. The model is of a Russian
house on the Monte Verita (Hill of Truth) in Asconsa, Switzerland, where a utopian matriarchal colony resided.

The model is made from thousands of matches glued together with latex and accompanied by found objects from Monte Verita charged with the energy from the pyrite soil.

The colony, being a matriarchy, also links to Cerci, the nymph of Roman mythology, who had her own colony on the mythological island of Aeaea.

The panels are made from materials related to Picus - plywood and match boxes. The opposing colours on the panel represent a choice between two alternatives. This is inspired by the Dutch guerrilla Poncke Prince who used to throw a matchbox painted yellow on one side and blue on the other to make color-coded decisions.
